Huff & Puff: The Asthma App – “the world’s best asthma education app!” – released in free and premium versions for tablets and smart phones

Los Angeles, CA – May 21, 2013: Health Nuts Media (HNM), a health engagement company, announces the release of their app, Huff & Puff: The Asthma App, for recent versions of the iPad/iPod/iPhone and Android tablets and smart phones.

Based on their animated series, Huff & Puff: An Asthma Tale, the app takes the fun to a whole new level. Seattle Times reports on advances in technology to help people with asthma

Los Angeles, CA — August 9, 2012: Last week, the Seattle Times ran a great little piece entitled, “New high-tech devices monitor asthma, raise awareness” in which Health Nuts Media and one of our wonderful distribution partners, Learn360 Health were highlighted.

Staff reporter Kibkabe Araya researched how “Technology is helping people with asthma better manage their symptoms, even avoid certain triggers. Companies are unveiling devices that track inhaler usage with GPS, measure wheezing and compile data on smartphone mobile apps.”

Health Nuts Media Releases Animated Asthma Series in Spanish

Los Angeles, CA – June 25, 2012: Health Nuts Media has launched a Spanish-language version of its animated asthma education series Huff & Puff: An Asthma Tale. The seven-episode series, already valued by healthcare providers as a teaching tool for kids with asthma, is now available to millions of Spanish speakers who suffer from the chronic pulmonary condition.

Health Nuts Media Chief Medical Officer Receives Super Doc Award

Los Angeles, CA – May 21, 2012: Health Nuts Media Chief Medical Officer, Gregg Alexander, DO, has been named “Super Doc” by the Ohio Health Information Partnership for his work in health information technology. Dr. Alexander was awarded the honor at the Patient Care: Connecting the Dots in Ohio conference held at Ohio State University in Columbus on April 26, 2012.

A practicing pediatrician at Madison Pediatrics in London, Ohio, Dr. Alexander has long promoted the use of a variety of technologies for advancing healthcare. He is the current director of the Pediatric Office of the Future for the American Academy of Pediatrics and also serves on the AAP’s Council on Clinical Information Technology Executive Committee as well as the Project Advisory Committee for the Child Health Informatics Center.
