Health Nuts Media Signs Digital Distribution Deal with Learn360 Health

Email

October 13, 2011, Los Angeles – Health Nuts Media, producer of animated pediatric health and wellness videos, announces a digital distribution agreement with Learn360 Health, the only single-source solution provider of Patient Education & Relaxation, Entertainment and Pediatric K-12 Educational Services.

“Doctors and patients are looking for effective, affordable and easy-to-use health literacy materials,” said Tim Jones, CEO of Health Nuts Media.  “Health Nuts Media is meeting the need for engaging, accurate content, and we are excited to partner with Learn360 Health to make our videos available across web, mobile, DVD and VOD channels.”

This agreement provides doctors, patients and health education providers with powerful, video-based, health literacy tools that eliminate the most common barriers to successful communication between the doctor and pediatric patient.

“HNM is delivering high quality content in a fun and informative manner,” said Edward Murphy, VP Marketing & Business Development for Learn360. “We are proud to have their content in our library.”

The initial offering includes “Common Conditions – Volume 1,” a series of 14 animated videos which covers such diverse topics as broken bones and fractures, vaccinations, pneumonia, dehydration and gastroenteritis (a.k.a. the stomach flu).  Also available is a seven-part series entitled “Huff & Puff: An Asthma Tale.” In this series, the Big Bad Wolf huffs…and puffs…and has an asthma attack.  Patients and their families are taken on an animated adventure of discovery to learn about asthma and how to better control this serious pulmonary condition.

This agreement is part of a larger push by Health Nuts Media to identify strategic partnerships that license and distribute its award-winning animation. The company plans to add 50 to 100 additional health literacy titles per year, in multiple languages, to its library of licensable content.

Children today spend an average of seven hours per day interacting with media content—more time than spent on any other daily activity besides sleeping.  Research shows that media can have a strong influence on children’s beliefs and behaviors.  By creating high-quality health media content and using innovative technology to make it readily available to the 75 million kids in the United States, Health Nuts Media and Learn360 Health are addressing the most common and preventable pediatric health concerns.
